About Ghana Holidays

In Easter 2011 is the Dipo Festival (The coming of age celebration of Krobo women), we have Ghana Dipo Festival and Bead holidays which combine the Dipo festival and visits to the bead making villages in Ghana’s Krobo region. Our Dipo Festival and Bead Tours are normally for 2 weeks and the next tour will take place in Easter 2011, places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

There are no real worries about the weather when taking a holiday in Ghana, the weather is warm throughout the year. It is usually dry between October and April with occasional rain between May and September.
Our Ghana holidays are all about ethical, responsible, community based holidays so we encourage holidaymakers to experience the local food. Food is based around staples such as rice, pasta, yam and plantain, with spicy soups and stews of beef, chicken and fish. If you choose a holiday to Ghana it is well worth trying the traditional dishes around the country include fou-fou and palm oil soup, plantain and beans, smoked guinea fowl, and smoked fish.

If you are considering a holiday to Ghana a visa is required before you travel. Entry visas can be obtained from the Ghana High Commission in London, or as appropriate in other countries. Money
If you choose a holiday to Ghana you should take a mix of travellers cheques (which can be changed at certain banks in the capital) and cash (US dollars or £ Sterling) which can be exchanged almost anywhere. You can also draw money from cashpoints in Accra and Kumasi.
